With prominent ocean views and its north facing positioning, our clients wanted to create a home that embraced the environment and one that would emulate their love of natural materials such as timber and masonry.
To achieve this vision, the home was designed as two separate living pods attached by an outdoor breezeway; one they could live in themselves and the other to accommodate their extended family and friends in a private, self-contained area.
The interior features a stunning free-standing fireplace with a polished block feature wall, solid tongue and groove spotted gum floors, floating shelves and burnt steel wood storage alongside an internal floor to ceiling viewing window into the light filled stairwell.
The exterior features cemental bare stone cladding with express joints and quality marine grade exposed fasteners, along with a cantilevered deck and outriggers with a spotted gum handrail and stainless-steel posts and wires.
