Murramarang Crescent was a challenging site, characterised by its steep slope and dense tree coverage. However, by embracing the surroundings, we were provided with a unique opportunity to create a home that seamlessly integrates and complements the environment, allowing nature to flourish and the stunning views to be experienced at every corner of the property.
The result, an eco-conscious and highly architectural split-level home that calmly cascades with the environment, offering year-round comfort through hydronic in-slab heating and solar passive design for maximised energy efficiency.
Solid herringbone flooring gives a timeless and elegant touch, while polished concrete in the open-plan living provides contrast, which is further highlighted and embraced through the use of varying finishing materials across tiling and cabinetry. Large windows, skylights and pitched ceilings create a grand sense of space that is open, yet homely.
On the exterior, hardwood eaves add warmth and character which is paired with light blue weatherboards, creating a continuation of the modern, yet timeless look experienced throughout. Off-form concrete walls of the detached shed make this a highlight on the property and the landscaping creates distinctive areas throughout that effortlessly open up to one another.
