Building in Mogo

Mogo sits on the Princes Highway about 10 kilometres south of Batemans Bay, on the way to Moruya. It began as a gold rush town in the 1850s and is now known for its heritage-style main street, galleries, cafes and Mogo Wildlife Park. Unlike the beach suburbs, Mogo is a bush village, set back from the coast with forest close around it.

Building back after the fires

Mogo was hit hard in the 2019 to 2020 Black Summer bushfires, which destroyed homes and businesses in the village, including the Original Gold Rush Colony.
